| Sonoma is world renowned for its wines, but few wine lovers are aware of the amazing diversity that lies within this 200,000-acre appellation, which stretches from the rugged Pacific Coast to the Mayacamas Mountains. Within the Sonoma County American Viticultural Area (AVA) there are 12 subappellations with very distinct mesoclimates, exposures and soils that affect the personality of the grapes. We selected vineyards from four of these regions?the cooler Sonoma Coast, Russian River and Green Valley AVAs and the warmer Dry Creek AVA?to give our Sonoma Junction Chardonnay its delicious layers of flavors and exquisite balance. |
