This wine joined the list of Tenuta Montenisa products in 2003 and is made from selected Pinot Nero grapes grown in our Calino vineyards in the heart of Franciacorta. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats and partly in barriques, while the second takes place in the bottles where the wine is left on the lees for 30 months. The wine has pinkish colour, creamy foam and subtle, lingering perlage. Vibrant, varied and unusual aromas on the nose reflect the particular features of the grape variety. The palate is generous andcomplex, unusually tangy and well-balanced.

The Montenisa Estate is the result of a family passion. In 1905, Piero Antinori and his son Niccolo were among the first to produce a sparkling wine in Italy using the classic method champenoise. Since that time, the Antinori family has always had a special fondness for the challenges and rewards of sparkling wine production. Sisters Albiera, Allegra, and Alessia Antinori continue this proud tradition today, combining their passion and winemaking experience to create Montenisa, a producer of top-quality sparkling wines in the heart of Northern Italy’s Franciacorta region |
