Cantine Maschio (MAH-ski-oh) is situated along the Cadore Mare provincial road between the Dolomites and the sun-kissed beaches to the north of Venice. It lies in the heart of the Treviso lowlands, a hard-working agricultural area. This was the place, in view of the softly sloping hills of Conegliano Veneto, where Bonaventura Maschio, descendant of a well-known family of distillers, built his wine-making facility in 1973. On October 1, 2002, Cantine Maschio was transferred to the family of grape growers from Cantine Cooperative Riunite. Today Cantine Maschio is one of the foremost vintners in Italian Prosecco and a leading producer of frizzante wine. Tradition is important for Maschio, but so is innovation. Cantine Maschio uses innovative production processes that guarantee the quality of the wine and maintain the freshness and aromas of the most prestigious grapes. Prosecco, for many Italians isn’t just for special occasions, but for celebrating the moment. It’s a glass of breezy, soft, refreshing wine. |
