A classic representation of Syrah from Star Lane Vineyard. While a warmer site, the incredibly low vigor in the soil seems to work to create spicy and savory characters typical for the variety. All this is layered upon a dark core of fruit one might expect from the warmer climate. Both the savory and fruity qualities emerge on a full, but balanced palate. The typical if ample Star Lane tannins have some reigns in this vintage making it quite approachable now. However given the history of the block we expect it to last for some time in your cellar.
