There is a clear presence of alcohol, but it's mellowed with a rich nutty feel. Taste: The spirits hit you first with this potcheen, giving it an authentic taste and feel, this is quickly joined by a melon and honey sweetness balanced with earthy tones as your mouth warms to this unique and historical spirit. Finish: The finish of this poteen is very dry but not parching, you will not need a chaser to this spirit. You are left with a toasted walnut and melon flavor. It's intriguing and leaves you wanting more.
