This is an 'eau-de-vie-de-biere' from Adnams. If you know Adnams, you will have guessed it's distilled from their rather excellent Broadside bitter. It's matured in oaks for twelve months to produce a fresh, clean spirit that perfectly captures the Broadside flavour.

Nose: Crisp, fresh beer with an underlying spiciness soon emerge from initial bubblegum notes. Black pepper fresh ground, and lots of vanilla. Palate: Wow. It's Broadside. But the spirit version. Crisp pint of bitter with a vanilla spice sweetness. Some subtle biscuit malt notes but still very fresh. Finish: As with the nose, it's like you've just swallowed the first sip of your pint, fresh from Southwold in spirit form. Overall: Well worth a try for beer and whisky lovers alike. It's unique and rather delicious. We can imagine cocktail enthusiasts are going to have a field day with this, and await the results with interest.
