Other text The idea for Bakon Vodka came on a camping trip with friends in the summer of 2006. At the time there were a number of flavored spirits, but almost all of them were sweet. We thought that a savory bacon-flavored vodka would work great in a Bloody Mary. After almost two years of testing, trying it out with friends and bartenders, and going through all of the regulatory hurdles we sold our first bottle of Bakon Vodka in May 2008. It’s now available in 45 states and 5 countries, and has has been used in winning recipes at national cocktail competitions and has taken the Gold medal in a number of international competitions. It was rated 93 Points by Tasting Panel Magazine.
