One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007. Distilled 11/5/1960 Bottled 27/2/2007 Aged for 47 years in a single Sherry Hogshead Only 228 bottles released at natural cask strength 52. 4% ABV Lovely dark teak colour. A big, powerful nose with notes of dark fruits, berries and a hint of peat smoke. Very light on the front of the mouth, dancing across your tongue as if it was eager to give you it's sherry, honey, marzipan and burnt chocolate flavours. Everlasting finish, with some caramelised toffee. This whisky is so filling, your bottle will last a long time.
