Twisted Tatoo is Highland Park's first release featuring whiskies matured in oak casks seasoned with Spanish Rioja wine. The resulting 16 year old single malt is said to be rich and full-bodied with a distinctively different character. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 46. 7% ABV it is said to have notes of 'light heather peat and soft red fruits?. Inspired by the Viking legend of the Midgard Serpent, which twisted around the Earth to bite its own tail.
